blogger turns wedding planner

many of you have probably been wondering, "what happened to the fiftyfootgirl?? is she in a coma? did she relocate to outer mongolia and no longer has high speed internet access?" no, no, gentle readers. a fate arguably more disagreeable than either of these options has befallen yours truly. for the better part of mid-2006, I have been planning my wedding. between our design business and wedding planning, the daily blog drawing (nay! even the weekly/bi-weekly/monthly blog drawings!) have become a faraway memory. what is an ambitious doodler to do? well, this ambitious doodler took matters into her own hands (quite literally), and embarked on what is so far the most insane thing I've done since making a 3-minute animated film. hand-made pop-up wedding invitations. don't even ask.

post-wedding there may be a day when I can once again enjoy my giant cup of coffee/daily drawing ritual. until then, it will probably be mostly radio silence from this fiftyfoot bride-to-be. :-(
look for a big fat "fiftyfootgirl's guide to wedding domination" cartoon someday...

Well that explains that. :-) The good news is that marriage never fails to be great inspiration to create! Best wishes, and post soon if you can.

About a absolutely enchanted addressee:

Before:

I wonder when the invitation is coming
I wonder when the invitation is coming
I wonder when the invitation is coming

After:

I was so worried about the invitation, but it's great.
I was so worried about the invitation, but it's great.
I was so worried about the invitation, but it's great.
